When sport is magnified by art Splendid and rare large-format screenprint by Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) published for the inauguration of the monumental sculpture "Les Footballeurs" at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne in the autumn of 1993.

Commissioned by the IOC, this work masterfully integrates the theme of sport into the artist's universe. She transposes the raw energy of an outdoor tackle through her signature saturated chromatic vocabulary and generous contours.

Printed by the workshop of Albin Uldry (Bern), the artist's historic master-screenprinter, this deluxe edition stands apart from standard promotional posters. It is a collector's print strictly limited to 160 copies, featuring a double signature: one printed in the plate and a second, handwritten countersignature in pencil by Niki de Saint Phalle herself.

Condition

The artwork is in excellent condition. The green background and primary color palette have retained a superb freshness, with no sun fading. Very slight signs of handling along the edges, with no visual impact. There is a slight relief mark in the center, which in our opinion is a natural trace of the printing process.
